The Diriyah Season Opening Ceremony is one of Saudi Arabia’s premier annual cultural events, held in the historic At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site and the surrounding Diriyah area. The ceremony launches the winter season with large-scale visual spectacles, including drone light shows featuring more than 1,500 drones, immersive lighting design, and live artistic and musical performances that celebrate the Kingdom’s heritage alongside its modern transformation into a global cultural destination. The season typically runs from late December through March and includes a wide program of arts, dining experiences, and international performances, as well as major highlights such as the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale.
MFORMEDIA was responsible for handling the broadcast and production scope of the opening ceremony, delivering the technical coordination, multi-camera coverage, and production infrastructure required to capture and transmit the event at broadcast standards. This included managing on-site production workflows and ensuring seamless integration between live performances, visual effects, and the overall show narrative for audiences on location and across broadcast platforms.
